Do you need to book an appointment?
When should I book an appointment?
We recommend you look to buy your dress around a year to 10 months before the wedding date.
Do you charge for appointments?
Yes, we do charge for our Friday, Saturday and Sunday appointments.
Friday and Saturday appointments are £35.00, and this is refundable on the purchase of a new dress order.
Our Sunday premium appointments are £85.00 which is non-refundable as you will have our beautiful barn all to yourself and your guests with chocolates and refreshments.
How long do appointments last?
For all our first-time brides to be we allow one and a half to two hours for their appointment.
What happens when I arrive to my appointment?
When you arrive, you will be greeted by one of our lovely consultants. They will take you to your changing room area and they will ask you a few questions and find out a little bit of what styles and colour you like and get a feel for your wedding vision. After this they will talk you through our lovely dress collection and guide you towards the different styles. They will then leave you to choose a few that you would like to try on.
Who should I bring to my appointment?
- We allow up to 4 guests per bride depending on the day and changing room. Sadly due to our cream carpeting we are unable to accommodate a pushchair.
How much are your dresses?
Our collection starts at around £800 and goes up to about £3000, we also have a beautiful range of ex sample dresses that start from around £250.
What size are the samples?
Our store samples range from a size 8 to a size 26 however most of our samples are sizes 12, 14 and 16.
How should I clean and store my dress after the wedding?
We would recommend a company called Boxed Bridal, here.
Do I get to pick the dresses I want to try on?
Yes, you do. Once we have talked you through our dresses you will get a chance to have a look and pick a few dresses that you would like to try on.
What happens if they don’t fit me?
We are fully trained to fit the samples so you can see a good fit in front of the mirror. (We have magical clips and panels to help us get the dress fitted to your body shape.)
How do I know what size I will need?
We take your full body measurements. This would be your bust, waist and hips then from these measurements we would advise you on the best size to order for you.
What happens if I want to lose weight?
This question is asked many times and is not a problem with our seamstresses, they can magically alter the dress and take in up to 2/3 dress sizes and make if fit to your body perfectly. It’s easier to take in than it is to let out!
What happens when I say, “YES TO A DRESS”?
Once you have found your beautiful dress we will take your measurements. To order the dress for you we take a 50% deposit. The remaining balance will be due on the arrival of your beautiful dress.
How long do dresses take to come in?
Our dresses take around 4 to 7 months to arrive however some dresses are available on a rush order.
What happens with Fittings / Alterations?
Normally your Fittings / Alterations would start 6 to 8 weeks before your wedding date. We have local recommended seamstresses that you can choose from. Once you have made contact with your chosen seamstress they will look after and guide you right up to your wedding day.
You would normally only need 2 fittings and the cost of these will depend on how much work needs to be carried out to make your dress fit perfectly.
What happens if we have to postpone?
If you choose to or you have to postpone your wedding date, we will be here for you whenever you are ready for your wedding day. Please let us know your new date as soon as possible or if you have postponed. If your dress is due in or is ready for collection we will just need you to pay your balance as per the terms and conditions. We will book you a collection appointment for you to come in and collect her. She will be lovingly bagged in our beautiful Anya Bridal Couture dress bags and we will give you full guidance on storing her till your new wedding date. However, if you would like us to look after your dress and store it in our secure, insured premises this can be arranged at a monthly fee.
